This kit is a staple for security installers because it allows you to send 12V or 24V power to a device (like a standard IP camera or router) using the unused wires in a Cat5e or Cat6 cable. It eliminates the need for an electrical outlet near the device, saving significant time and labor costs.

The kit consists of two parts: the Injector (at the power source side) and the Splitter (at the device side). The Injector takes the data from your switch and the power from your device’s original wall adapter, combining them into the Ethernet cable. On the far end, the Splitter separates them back into a standard RJ45 data plug and a DC barrel jack. Because it is a \"Passive\" system, it transmits whatever voltage you plug into it, making it compatible with a wide range of DC-powered hardware.
