The TP-Link EAP245 is a dual-band WiFi 5 (802.11ac) ceiling/wall mount access point aimed at business and high-density environments. It delivers combined wireless speeds of up to about 1.75 Gbps (450 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band + 1300 Mbps on the 5 GHz band). It supports MU-MIMO, beam-forming, band-steering and seamless roaming (802.11k/v) for clients moving between access points. The unit is designed to be PoE-powered for easy installation, supports management via the Omada platform (cloud or on-premises), and includes features like guest access with captive portal, multiple SSIDs, and VLAN support to segregate traffic. The form-factor is slim and suited for ceiling or wall mounting, with both ports offering gigabit throughput for network uplink (and bridging another device).
